Throughout this Annual Report one will find reference to the extensive building program undertaken at Kronstadt Gardens. Certainly, this two million dollar project took up much of our thoughts and energy during the past financial year. Today we have a state of the art facility which caters for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of eighty six residents.

However, Russian Welfare Society (RWS) is more than simply an aged care provider. We also cater for a wide range of community needs. RWS services 85 Community Aged Care Packages (CACPs) helping those who wish to remain in their homes rather than enter a residential facility. We provide a robust Community Partners Program (CPP) educating and supporting the Russian and other Slavic communities in making educated decisions as to ageing options and planning for one's twilight years. RWS has a wide range of Home and Community Care (HACC) programs supporting the isolated, the frail and those in need of a wide range of in house services.

In addition, our community newsletter, telelink programs, Russian language free lending library and community buses, complement a broad based plan of programs to ensure that our community is comprehensively looked after with best practice initiatives and positive outcomes for all. Furthermore, the Russian Welfare Society supports a diverse range of community initiatives to preserve the heritage of the Russian community.

I wish to compliment our employees on their loyalty and the fine work they do on behalf of our residents and clients. I also wish to thank the Board of Directors for their support of me personally and the work of the Russian Welfare Society.

I trust that next year will be as fulfilling, but perhaps less exhausting, than the one just past.
